About Us

The North Yorkshire area of the British Caravanners Club covers an area comprising all the county of North Yorkshire, East of the River Ribble, north of a line of Settle, Ripon, Boroughbridge, York, Stamford Bridge, Malton to Filey. Which includes vast areas of both the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

The Area celebrates it’s 40th anniversary in June 2009, and is holding a Birthday Meet at Askham Bryan Nurseries.

The Area holds a meet every weekend from March through to November, some of which are of 5 days duration, these meets are run by members of the Area.

In addition a Temporary Holiday Site (THS) is run every year in the North Yorkshire Moors, near to Pickering, Whitby, Scarborough as well as the famous Heartbeat countryside. It is located on a working farm adjacent to the Dalby Forest and the famous NYM steam railway is also within 4 miles of the site.

A meet is also run over New Year in the beautiful village of Alne  north of York, where a local caravan site is used along with use of the local village hall throughout the duration of the meet.
